Influencing and Supporting Others through the Lens of Internationalisation and Inclusive Learning  In-Person

Dear Colleagues

We warmly invite you to join us for the final session of a series of workshops on Influencing and Supporting Others through the Lens of Internationalisation and Inclusive Learning. The workshops are designed to provide continuing professional development for academics, teaching and professional staff who wish to embed intercultural and inclusive approaches in their practice and support others to do so too.

What is involved?

The workshops consist of 4 hours where we will be learning together interactively through a range of texts, activities, videos and discussion. We will engage in research and literature and put this into practice. One hour of independent time is scheduled at the end of the session where you can complete reflective tasks. You’ll develop a case study to support QMU CPD Fellowship Applications.

Workshop 2: International and Inclusive Course Design
This session will explore course enhancements in the context of internationalisation that are inclusive, constructively aligned and scaffolded through programme learning lines.

Who is this for?
This module is designed for all academic colleagues with a remit for teaching, learning and supporting others and will directly support those who wish to develop their leadership capacity. It will have direct impact on developing inclusive pedagogies, module coordination, programme leadership, annual monitoring and enhancing assessment practices. You will be able to evidence how you are contributing to institutional strategic objectives which also be beneficial for your PER. We encourage colleagues who have already been awarded Fellowship from AdvanceHE and are considering applying for Senior Fellowship to attend as you will be able to reflect upon and gather evidence on leading or influencing the practice of those who teach and/or support learning.

The workshops will take place in person in QMU Campus and are led by Thomas Peschken-Holt, Joint Acting Head of Division in the Business School and Vikki Hill, Senior Lecturer in LEAD. The programme has been adapted from the Erasmus+ funded capacity building project EQUiiP Educational Quality at Universities for inclusive international Programmes https://equiip.eu/, that was inspired by AdvanceHE’s Framework for Internationalising Higher Education.
