The Scottish Policy and Research Exchange is facilitating an interactive online session for mid-senior career researchers with prior experience of policy engagement, that will provide hands-on experience of:

• Identifying opportunities for policy engagement and impact.
• Mapping your strengths and needs.
• Drafting a policy engagement strategy.

SPRE will provide introductory framing and provocations to spark reflection. Participants will then be supported through practical tasks that apply key principles, tools and resources to their own research and relevant policy engagement opportunities. The session will be interactive so that participants learn from each other about different ways to build a policy engagement strategy.

At the end of the session, participants will leave with a better understanding of relational approaches to policy engagement, a draft policy engagement strategy, and a plan for taking it forwards.
