My Name Is. Film Screening and Book Launch with Dr Javeria Shah In-Person
How much does your name shape your identity?
We are delighted to welcome Dr Javeria Shah from Central School of Speech and Drama to deliver a documentary film screening and workshop to explore the experiences of individuals with non-western first names, its link to their identity, and how it correlates to pressures of conforming to westernized English norms. You can read more here. Javeria will also be hosting a book launch of her new publication informed by the film.
All students and staff and external colleagues are welcome to attend and to join us for refreshments and book signing afterwards.
