Assessment and Feedback Symposium 2025 Online
Assessment and feedback are integral components of teaching practice, shaping the learning experiences and outcomes of students across disciplines. As the higher education landscape continues to evolve, it is critical that we adapt our assessment and feedback practices to meet the needs of diverse learners, design assessment and feedback for a digital world, and create authentic assessment tasks which prepare learners for the future.
This presenter-led virtual event will provide teaching and support staff from across the sector with a space to exchange and disseminate new and different ways of thinking about assessment and feedback.
This online symposium will focus on progressive, inclusive, and forward-thinking practices in assessment and feedback in higher education. Submissions that highlight new trends, innovative methodologies, and impactful practices that contribute to more effective and engaging assessment and feedback are welcome. Contributions are particularly welcome from practitioners and leaders who have developed and implemented initiatives, strategies and approached which have had a positive impact on their students’ assessment experience and outcomes.
Submission deadline: 2 September 2025
Keynore Speaker: Dr Miriam Firth, Academic Lead for Flexible Assessment at the University of Manchester
